Daniel Dib becomes CTO of Navis Mater
Stockholm, 6 October 2026. Navis Mater has appointed Daniel Dib as Chief Technology Officer. He will play a central role in the group’s technical development and in building and scaling technology companies in cybersecurity, digital resilience, networking and AI.
For more than two decades, Daniel Dib has designed and developed IT architecture for large, business-critical environments, including air traffic control, government agencies and global enterprises. He is an author, a long-standing advisor to Cisco and an internationally recognized expert in network design and infrastructure. After eleven years as a senior consultant at Conscia, he now becomes CTO of Navis Mater.
Navis Mater is an active owner that builds, owns and develops technology companies. The group also conducts its own applied research and development in areas including AI, security, digital resilience and how organizations can use AI agents in real work.
“Daniel has devoted his career to complex environments where architecture, security and resilience have to work for real. That experience is extremely valuable to us. We are building both technology companies and new ways of working, and we need to be able to turn advanced technology into solutions that work, scale and create real value,” says Emanuel Lipschütz, founder and CEO of Navis Mater.
As CTO, Daniel Dib will have particular responsibility for Navis Mater’s technical development around AI agents and how they can be used to create real business value. The role involves identifying where AI agents can strengthen the business, turning business problems into technical capabilities, and developing how people and AI agents can work together in practice.
Navis Mater already uses AI agents in its own operations and conducts applied research and development in the field. A central part of Daniel’s role will be to develop and scale that capability, with clear mandates, verifiable controls and human accountability. The goal is to let small expert teams achieve significantly more without losing control, quality or judgment.
“In critical infrastructure, you don’t add security and resilience afterwards. They have to be part of the architecture from the start. The same thinking is needed as we build the next generation of technology companies and as AI takes on a bigger role in the business. I look forward to doing that together with Emanuel and the team at Navis Mater,” says Daniel Dib, CTO of Navis Mater.
Cyber Defencely and CyberResilient are subsidiaries of Navis Mater. Cyber Defencely works with delivery, implementation and market presence in information security. CyberResilient develops a platform for ongoing work with cyber resilience and regulatory compliance. Navis Mater is also a part-owner of NetSymphony, which develops technology for automating and orchestrating enterprise networks, and AceBit, which designs, implements and operates automated networks.
Navis Mater’s ambition is to help build European technology leaders in areas where Europe needs stronger capabilities of its own.
